LaTeX-Template for the TU Corporate Design

One of the latest inventions of the TU administration has been a new standard layout for letters, websites, business cards, and other things. Unfortunately, the responsible department for corporate design did not provide LaTeX-templates and will probably not do so for some time to come. Hence, I implemented the new layout in LaTeX myself.

Usage in our group

Here you find a template document 'latbrief.tex' based on a new documentclass 'latbrief.cls' registered in the LaTeX-database.

In order to use the template, simply download the file and follow the instructions provided in the file to customize it. Note that the underlying documentclass supports several options specifying the desired language, typeface, and text size to be used in the letter. Moreover, the addresser column in the header as well as the footer can be removed.

Installation elsewhere

In order to install all necessary files on another machine, use this zip-file containing: In order to use the template, first make sure that 'latbrief.cls' and 'tulogo-sw.eps' are found in your TeXinputs. (If all else fails, put them into the same folder as 'latbrief.tex'.)

Do not distribute

At the current state of affairs, please do not distribute the above files outside our group. Corporate Design seems to be a delicate topic at the moment :-). Also, note that the new layout is neither aesthetically pleasing nor efficient under a work-flow perspective. I have simply implemented the guidelines provided by the CD-bogeys.
