Barış Sertkaya

My research is centered around

• Knowledge representation with Description Logics (DLs),
• Conceptual data analysis with Formal Concept Analysis (FCA), and
• applications of them in ontologies and the Semantic Web.

In my PhD thesis I have worked on combining DLs and FCA, using methods from one field in the other, and extending one with the help of the other. Apart from these, I am interested in the computational complexity of some problems that occur in these fields.
