ASPOCP 2014 PROCEEDINGS: EDITOR'S PREFACE

This volume contains the papers presented at ASPOCP14: 7th Workshop on Answer Set Programming and Other Computing Paradigms held on July 23th, 2014 in Vienna. It continues a series of previous events co-located with the International Conference on Logic Programming, aiming at facilitating the discussion about crossing the boundaries of current ASP techniques in theory, solving, and applications, in combination with or inspired by other computing paradigms.

There were 15 submissions. Each submission was reviewed by 3 program committee members. The committee decided to accept 14 papers. They cover a wide range of research topics including theoretical aspects, methods and techniques to compute semantics, respectively to build systems potentially exploiting exiting ASP solvers, as well as practical aspects such as applications of the answer set programming and related computing paradigms in various domains.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all authors,  program committee members, reviewers, speakers, and participants for making this workshop happen. Moreover, we acknowledge the EasyChair system which we used for organizing the submission and review processes.
