ITRS 2014 PROCEEDINGS: EDITOR'S PREFACE
This volume contains the papers presented at ITRS 2014: 7th Workshop on Intersection Types and Related Systems held on July 17, 2014 in Vienna.
Submissions were reviewed by at least 2, and on the average 2.6, program committee members. The committee decided to accept 8 papers. The workshop program also includes an invited talk by Luke Ong (Oxford University).
The ITRS 2014 workshop aims to bring together researchers working on both the theory and practical applications of systems based on intersection types and related approaches.
Possible topics for submitted papers included, but were not limited to:
-
Formal properties of systems with intersection types.
-
Results for related systems, such as union types, refinement types, or singleton types.
-
Applications to lambda calculus and similar systems.
-
Applications to pi-calculus and similar systems.
-
Applications for programming languages.
-
Applications for other areas, such as database query languages and program extraction from proofs.
-
Related approaches using behavioural/intensional types to characterize computational properties.
ITRS has been held bianually since 2000:
ITRS 2000 was colocated with ICALP 2000 in Geneva, Switzerland.
ITRS 2002 was colocated with LICS 2002 (part of FLoC 2002) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
ITRS 2004 was colocated with the joint meeting of ICALP 2004 and LICS 2004 in Turku, Finland.
ITRS 2008 was colocated with TYPES 2008 in Torino, Italy.
ITRS 2010 was colocated with LICS 2010 (as part of FLoC 2010) in Edinburgh, Scotland.
ITRS 2012 was colocated with LICS 2012 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Thanks are due to the PC members and to Moritz Martens (Technical University of Dortmund) for supporting the event.
